Pediatric Eye Exams

Children and youth 19 years and younger with a valid OHIP card are eligible for a full eye exam once every year. First eye exam is usually at 6 mos done by the pediatrician or the optometrist. Next followup is between 2.5 and 3.5 years and annually after that.

Adult eye exams:

Adults between the ages of 20 and 64 are recommended to get their eyes examined once every 2 years. Patients who are diabetic or have other specific eye conditions may be covered under OHIP.

Senior eye exams:

Patients who are 65 years and older with a valid OHIP card are eligible for a full eye exam once every 18 months or 12 months for certain eye conditions.

We also offer co-management of laser vision correction, contact lens fittings, Optomap retinal imaging, Myopia Therapy, Dry Eye Therapy, and OCT (ocular coherence tomography) imaging.
